E.U. Programmes

Under the framework of the European Project “Spread The ΑRT of going UP –STARTUP” that is funded and implemented through the European Program Erasmus+, and is coordinated by Developmental Center of Thessaly, the activity “training of trainers” took place in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria of Spain, on 14-22 of September 2015. Specifically, 3 trainers of each partner organization participated in a seminar and workshop that was organized by Sociedad de Promocion Economica de Gran Canaria (SPEGC), for their training in the field of supporting startup companies. The training of trainers took place in the premises of SPEGC, where the incubator “Incube” is located. José Manuel Sánchez, CEO of Incube, was responsible of the participants’ training. Developmental Center of Thessaly was represented by Konstantina Zachari, Theologis Tougountzoglou and Stefanos Souflias.

    The aim of the Comenius Regio Partnerships is to enhance the European dimension of education by promoting joint co-operation activities between local and regional authorities with a role in school education in Europe.

    The partnerships give educational authorities, in cooperation with schools and other actors in education, in different regions, the opportunity to work together on one or more topics of mutual interest.

    Comenius Regio Partnerships help the participating regions to develop and exchange best practise, to develop tools for sustainable cooperation across borders, to strengthen the European dimension in school education and to offer European learning experiences to teachers and pupils and those responsible for administering school systems

    The action Mobility for Professionals in Vocational Education and Training (VETPRO) of theLeonardo da Vinci sectoral programme aims at the support of transnational mobility of persons responsible for vocational training and/or human resources.

    The general objectives of this mobility action within Leonardo da Vinci sectoral programme are:

    To support participants in training and further training activities in the acquisition and the use of knowledge, skills and qualifications to facilitate personal development in a professional context

    To support improvements in quality and innovation in vocational education and training systems, institutions and practices

  • LDV - PLM

    The action Transnational Placements in Enterprises or Training Institutions (PLM) of the Leonardo da Vinci sectoral programme aims at the support of transnational mobility of workers, self-employed or people available for employment (including graduates) undergoing a training period abroad in a vocational training context.

    The general objectives of this mobility action within Leonardo da Vinci sectoral programme are:

    To support participants in training and further training activities in the acquisition and the use of knowledge, skills and qualifications to facilitate personal development; and

    To enhance the attractiveness of vocational education and training and mobility for individuals and to facilitate the mobility of working trainees.

     

    LDV-VETPRO

     

    The action Mobility for Professionals in Vocational Education and Training (VETPRO) of the Leonardo da Vinci sectoral programme aims at the support of transnational mobility of persons responsible for vocational training and/or human resources.

    The general objectives of this mobility action within Leonardo da Vinci sectoral programme are:

    To support participants in training and further training activities in the acquisition and the use of knowledge, skills and qualifications to facilitate personal development in a professional context

    To support improvements in quality and innovation in vocational education and training systems, institutions and practices

     

    LDV-IVT

     

    The action Mobility for Trainees in Initial Vocational Training (IVT) of the Leonardo da Vinci sectoral programme aims at the support of transnational mobility of persons undergoing initial vocational education and training.

    The general objectives of this mobility action within the Leonardo da Vinci sectoral programme are:

    To support participants in training and further training activities in the acquisition and the use of knowledge, skills and qualifications to facilitate personal development; and

    To enhance the attractiveness of vocational education and training and mobility for individuals.

     

    GRUNDTVIG

     

    "To support the mobility of 7,000 individuals involved in adult education per year, by 2013"

    The aims of the Grundtvig sectoral programme are:

    • To promote European co-operation in lifelong learning;
    • To improve the training of adult educators;
    • To encourage the development of innovative materials and resources;
    • To stimulate the debate of lifelong learning and encourage the sharing of good practice.

    The Grundtvig sectoral programme is open to every organisation, working in the field of Adult learning and development, including providing learning opportunities in:

    • Formal;
    • Non-Formal; and
    • In-Formal Adult Education.

    Under the Grundtvig sectoral programme applicants must be over the age of 25 to benefit from funding, or a young person below that age who is no longer undergoing initial education within the formal school or higher educational system. Grundtvig can fund a range of activities related to basic skills, active citizenship, foreign languages, arts and culture, parental education, prison education and much more. Grundtvig has also the objective to assist people from vulnerable social groups and in marginal social contexts.

    The Grundtvig sectoral programme is subdivided into two types of activities supported by the European Commission: Learning Partnerships and Individual Staff Mobility (In-Service Training Courses, Visits and Exchanges, Assistantships, Workshops).

  • Youth in action

    Youth in Action is the EU Programme for young people aged 15-28 (in some cases 13-30). It aims to inspire a sense of active citizenship, solidarity and tolerance among young Europeans and to involve them in shaping the Union's future.

    Youth in Action is a programme for all! It promotes mobility within and beyond the EU borders, non-formal learning and intercultural dialogue, and encourages the inclusion of all young people, regardless of their educational, social and cultural background.

    Youth in Action is the successor of the YOUTH Programme (2000-2006). Building on the experience of the previous programmes for youth, Youth in Action is the result of a large consultation with the different stakeholders in the youth field and aims to respond to the evolutions and needs of young people at European level.

  • EVS

    European Voluntary Service (EVS) is the European Commission's project that allows a young person (18–30 years) to become a volunteer in another country for a specified period, normally between 2–12 months. The service activities can be, for example, in the field of environment, arts and culture, activities with children, young people or the elderly, heritage or sports and leisure activities. Each project has three partners, a volunteer, a sending organisation and a host organisation. The project has to take place in a country other than where the volunteers lives, is non-profit-making and unpaid and last for a limited period (maximum 12 months).
