Project meeting for “Cloud Computing for School Networking and Learning” in Denmark

AKETH, as partner organization in the Comenius Multilateral Project "Cloud Computing for School Networking and Learning" has participated in the 4th Consortium Meeting in Aarhus, Denmark from 1st until 4th of February 2015. Representative of AKETH was Konstantina Zachari.

Hosting organization was "VIA University College" Denmark's largest university of applied sciences and a leading educational institution – in Denmark and internationally.
Partners had the chance to discuss about the progress of the project activities, as well as management and administrative issues. One of the main topics of discussion was the piloting experiences at schools, which is an integral part of the project. Moreover, partners were pleased to meet one of the piloting schools teachers, who presented the current situation in their school in Samsoe Island. These sessions were succeeded by a hands-on workshop where our colleagues from CESGA- the project coordinator, presented the new tools and features of the platform in order to better support the training and piloting phase at schools.
The next day partners visited Parkvejens School an innovative ICT Danish school that carries on a highly innovative project focusing on „learners as producers". This is a Municipality funded project were every student was their own iPad to assist the learning process.
Other activities that took place were the improvement of the pedagogical approach and the technological solution, improvement of contents, learning and teaching strategies, training materials, dissemination and exploitation of the results and activities.
